SIPA (Spanish Immersion Parent Association) is a nonprofit parent-teacher organization created to enhance the Cabrillo Unified School District Two-Way Bilingual program. SIPA's mission is to serve as the primary support and advocacy group for the families of this program and inspire the continuation of bilingual education. SIPA is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization.
SIPA's roles include:
- sponsoring quarterly parent-teacher meetings to share information
- organizing fundraising events
- funding and managing the Amity Intern program
- working with the school district to monitor the Spanish Immersion program
- organizing social events which promote cross-cultural experiences
